| Feb. 22 | RODENHOF, LUXEMBOURG |
We drew all supplies and ammo for the regiment in preparation for the push into Germany. |
| Feb. 25 | WEILERBACH, GERMANY |
Crossed Sauer at Echternach--set up CP in historical chateau at Weilerbach. |
| Feb. 26 | ALSDORF |
At 0130 we moved in a hurry to Alsdorf. Here the 8 inch guns set up 25 yards from the CP. No rest or peace when they fired TOT. Our trucks shuttled supplies and ammo from Ferschweiler. |
| Feb. 28 | ALSDORF |
Ammo Section made long tun to Luxembourg and replenished the regt. with all types of ammo. |
| Mar. 5 | WELSCHBILLIG |
CP moved to Welschbillig--Maintenance Section "liberated" a lot of tools and equipment for their shop. |
| Mar. 9 | NIEDERKAIL |
Here we go again-mud and rain, but we crossed the Kyll into Speicher. Moved again that night to Niederkail. |
| Mar. 12 | WITTLICH |
Landscheid, Bingen and Burg were one night stops, and we dropped down the hills into Wittlich where beer and movies were the highlights. |
| Mar. 20 | WITTLICH |
In Wittlich, Service Company drew and furnished regiment with Class 1, II, III and IV Supplies. |
| Mar. 21 | RHEINBÖLLEN |
Off again! Mountainous terrain and treacherous roads put us in Rheinböllen on the Rhine. Here it took three days and nights to shuttle all our supplies from Wittlich. Excitement was at high pitch--we were crossing the Rhine soon. |
| Mar. 26 | BERMBACH |
In groups we crossed the famous Rhine at St. Goar--went directly east to Bermbach. Screened this town for SS troopers and prisoners who might have escaped our troops. Moved into surrounding woods and captured 40 more prisoners. |
| Mar. 30 | SPANGENBERG |
Orders to move further east to Lenderscheid. Then on to Spangenberg. Gas trucks caught up with us after four days. |
| Apr. 4 | SCHÖNSTEDT |
Kammerforst was a 4-hour stop and on to Schönstedt where the Luftwaffe strafed us galore--no casualties. |
| Apr. 12 | OSTERFELD |
Grossvargula was the next town-just two days and off to Osterfeld where the Luftwaffe again tried to strafe. AAA accounted for two Planes one evening. |
| Apr. 13 | DROSSDORF | CP moves to Drossdorf at night. RSO sets up in an open field. |
| Apr. 14 | DIETHENSDORF |
6th Armored spearheads the attack. We followed the armor into Wiederau and on to Diethensdorf. |
| Apr. 20 | DIETHENSDORF | At Diethensdorf strafing at dusk continued. |
| May 9 | LANGENLEUBA- NIEDERHAIN |
V-E Day. Langenleuba-Niederhain was selected for our CP. Beer, movies and music helped our celebration. |
